🕷️ Bring Tilly to Your School: It’s Completely Free!

Inspiring young readers, building brave hearts, and sparking curiosity — one classroom at a time.

Welcome, Educators!

If your students are ready to meet the most surprisingly wonderful creature they’ve ever encountered, Tilly the Tarantula is ready to visit! School visits are completely free — in person or virtually — and designed especially for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

Whether Tilly shows up in your library, your classroom, or on your smartboard, she brings an unforgettable experience that goes far beyond a book reading.

What to Expect During a Visit

Every Tilly the Tarantula school visit includes:

📖 Story Time with Tilly — A live read-aloud that brings Tilly’s world to life and gets even the wiggliest listeners leaning in.

💛 SEL Workshop & Activities — Tilly’s story opens the door to meaningful conversations about empathy, courage, kindness, and what it means to welcome someone who seems different from you. Students participate in age-appropriate social-emotional learning activities that make big feelings feel manageable — and fun.

✏️ Author Talk — Ever wonder where story ideas come from? Students get a behind-the-scenes look at the writing and publishing journey — perfect for inspiring your young writers and readers.

🙋 Q&A with Students — Students get to ask their burning questions! (Yes, Tilly-related questions are highly encouraged.)

In-Person & Virtual Visits Available

Can’t fit a visit into your schedule in person? No problem! Virtual visits are available and just as engaging — Tilly travels well over video call. Both options are offered at no cost to your school.
